Dashboard guide

The Dashboard is your daily command center. Where Analytics is for studying your history and Simulations is for looking ahead, the Dashboard answers one question: "How am I doing right now?" It pulls together today's performance, your risk discipline, and anything that needs attention — aggregated across all your accounts — so you can orient yourself before and during a trading session.

It's a live snapshot that refreshes as you trade. Open it at the start of your day, glance at it between trades, and use it to stay on plan.

New here? If you haven't added an account or logged a trade yet, the Dashboard shows a "Your dashboard is waiting" placeholder. Add an account and log your first trade and the widgets below populate automatically.

1. The discipline strip (top of page)

The strip at the very top keeps your risk rules in view before your next trade. It's intentionally warn-not-block: Quaderno surfaces these so you can self-correct — it never stops you from entering a trade.

• Loss-limit alerts — If you've set a daily or weekly loss limit on an account, an alert appears here once you reach ~80% of it or breach it, named by period and account. (No alert means you're comfortably within your limits.)
• Daily Goal — Today's realized P&L measured against the target you set. If you haven't set one, you'll see a "set one →" nudge that links to Settings → Trading Defaults.
• Plan guardrail chips — For each active trading plan, the chips show its throttles — cool-down period, drawdown halt, max daily trades, max concurrent open trades — with the current value. A chip turns amber when you're at or near its threshold. No guardrails configured? You'll get a nudge to add them to a plan.

2. Status tiles

A row of compact cards summarizing where today stands. Tiles that represent a risk turn amber when you're near or over a threshold.

Readiness & risk

• Trade Readiness — An at-a-glance read on whether you're clear to trade, listing any active blockers (or "No active blockers").
• Daily Risk Budget — How much risk you have left to deploy today before hitting your configured limit.
• Trading Pace — Your activity rate today, flagging when you're trading faster than usual (a common tilt/overtrading signal).

Performance today

• Account Equity — Your current total equity.
• Drawdown from Peak — How far equity sits below its running high-water mark.
• Streak — Your current run of winning or losing days (or "No active streak").
• Today's R — Today's result in R-multiples, with quick links to your best and worst trade of the day.
• Plan Compliance — How well today's trades followed your plan (or "No plan trades today").

Behavior & context

• Today's Breakdown — Today's trades split by grade and by tag, so you can see the quality mix, not just the P&L.
• Mood today — Your logged emotional state for the day; flags when it's deteriorating.
• Options Expiring — A count of options expiring soon. Click the tile to expand the full list (see below).

3. Detail panels

Below the tiles, expandable sections give you the specifics behind the numbers.

• Alerts — Notifications that need your attention. Use Mark all read to clear them.
• Options Expiring Soon — A table of contracts expiring this week (symbol, side, type, strike, expiry, account) so nothing slips past expiration unmanaged.
• Open Positions — Everything you currently hold, led by your total At risk and At reward exposure. The table lists each position's symbol, type, side, entry, time opened, time in trade, stop, target, and account — so you can see your live risk at a glance. Click a row to open the trade.
• Today's Closed Trades — Everything you've realized today, the raw feed behind "Today's R" and the breakdown tiles.

How to use it

• Before you trade: scan the discipline strip and Trade Readiness. If a guardrail chip or loss-limit alert is amber, pause and reconsider.
• During the session: watch Daily Risk Budget and Trading Pace — they're your early-warning signals against overtrading and revenge trading.
• Managing exposure: use Open Positions (At risk / At reward) and Options Expiring to keep on top of live risk.
• End of day: review Today's R, Today's Breakdown, and Mood to close the loop on how you traded, not just whether you made money.

Good to know

• The Dashboard reflects your realized (closed) trades and live open positions; deeper historical study lives on the Analytics page.
• The "set one" nudges link straight to where you configure them — Settings → Trading Defaults for goals and limits, and Trading Plans for guardrails.
• Risk indicators are guidance, not gates — Quaderno warns, but the decision is always yours.
